We are happy to announce the release of Secure Voice version 2.9.0. With every new release we try to take the experience of using our application for encrypted voice communication a step further and improve the technology behind it. This latest update of Secure Voice will introduce two new features and some quality improvements. Key changes include:

  • “Favorites” to Contact List
“Favorties” is a cool option to have when you manage your contacts. It helps you segment, access and dial faster the contacts you talk to the most.

Marking users as Favorite is easy. You can do it from your Contacts screen by tapping on the Star Icon in the top right corner, or by entering the detailed profile of a contact and marking it as favorite from there.

Removing a contact from your Favorites is simple as well. All you need to do is reverse the process and tap on the Star Icon in the desired contact’s profile. Once that is done, your contact will disappear from your Favorites list.

  • Sync your Secure Voice contacts to server
That’s another great feature we are excited to tell you about. With the release of the new Secure Voice version, we let you sync your Secure Voice contacts to our server and avoid the hassle of remembering them each time you change devices or wipe your device. We added a “Contacts sync to server” section in the app Settings, and if you keep it on, your contact list will be prefilled the next time you sign in on another device.

  • Improvements to Echo cancellation and Incoming calls
One thing we were getting from you was that you can hear your voice when you are on a call. This definitely hurts the smooth experience of having a safe call and we paid special attention. We calibrated the echo settings of the application and added new ones to guarantee better quality.

Also, there were instances of crashing incoming calls. After exhaustive tests, we were able to find the bug and remove it. At the moment, no incoming calls are crashing.
