Secure Group's License Administration System is renamed to Secure Manager

Montréal, Canada - November 29, 2016

Secure Group, a worldwide leader of encrypted communication services, released today the 1.1.03 version of the no longer to be called License Administration System. The Billing and subscription backend component underwent a brand change and is now called “Secure Manager.” The License Administration System name is already dismissed from use, including its abbreviation (LAS). Secure Group’s official name for the administration web portal reflects the company's naming conventions. This rename is not the only feature with this release: Secure Group put a special touch of security and performance improvements to boost the user experience.

  • LAS is now called "Secure Manager"
There is a fair bulk of reasons behind the change of the brand name. First of all, License Administration System was too long and the name added ambiguity to the purposes the system served. The adoption of “Secure Manager” naturally resonates with the convention for all of Secure Group’s products, like Secure Phone, Secure BlackBerry, and Secure Pack. From now on, Secure Group’s publications, documentation and marketing materials will be referring to the Secure Manager for purchases, orders and subscription management. No functionality changes are added as part of this rebranding. Secure Manager’s users will be following the same flows as previously: log in using their username and password and process their payments and subscriptions pretty much in the same way as before.
  • Secure Manager is performance-optimized
As part of this release, Secure Group added optimizations in performance, especially with some of the most heavy-duty procedures, like ordering, preparations of per-activations, etc. routine procedures are reorganized for improved user experience and satisfaction.
  • Secure Manager is security-enhanced
The new release includes several non-critical security tweaks that mostly address potential background risks. The most outstanding feature is a limitation for potential execution of cross-site scripts (XSS).

As part of this release, numerous fixes add value to customer experience and satisfaction. The solved issues include unexpected session crashes, PayPal payments inconsistencies and more.
